In most cases thieves gained easy access to unlocked homes and stole car keys from the kitchen and lounge-room areas.

Have you locked up and where are your car keys?

Are you doing what you can to help prevent vehicle theft? Police recommend that you;

  • ensure that your house is locked and that screen doors are key-locked
  • secure your car keys, handbags, wallets and mobile phones (don’t leave them in plain view)
  • Ensure that your vehicle is locked whenever you are away from it
  • Do not leave valuables in your vehicle, including car keys.

Several of the vehicles stolen have been recovered however most were recovered in a damaged state. Police need your help to find a number of stolen vehicles that are yet to be recovered.
