2017 Oceanway Ride Road Closure
Gold Coast police would like to remind motorists of road closures due to the 2017 Oceanway Ride this Saturday September 9, 2017.
The event involves bicycle riders heading on two courses, one south to Point Danger and the other west to Eagle Heights.
The event is expected to be conducted with minimum disruption to traffic.
Motorists are to be advised of the following road interruptions on Saturday September 9, 2017:
• The Esplanade, Surfers Paradise will be closed to traffic between the Soul Building and Hanlan Street, Surfers Paradise from 3am to 1pm that day. Diversions will be in place,that may cause delays and traffic congestion.
• Traffic controllers will be on site stopping vehicles entering and leaving The Spit between Muriel Henchman Park and Doug Jennings Park during the hours of 6am and 7.30am. One lane will be utilised for both directions of travel.
