Townsville West State School Book Week
On Wednesday August 16, Senior Constable Alysha Bloomfield and Senior Constable Lee Missen went along to the Townsville West State School Book Week Parade.
Each grade was dressed up as a character from a book they have been studying in class that went with the theme Escape to everywhere. Some exciting books included Pirates Love Underpants, The Enchanted Forest and Rowan of Rin.
It was a fantastic morning and the judges had a tough time picking winners. All the winners won… a book!
Photo below of the two best dressed winners for the day. The teachers reiterated the importance of reading books instead of playing on iPads, tablets, phones etc.
