Woman assaults three police officers, Mackay
Police have charged a woman following the alleged assault of three officers during an incident in Mackay on August 13.
It will be alleged at around 1:30am officers were speaking to a person on Gregory Street when a woman intervened and physically placed herself between officers and the other person, preventing further conversation.
It’s further alleged when a female police officer attempted to move the woman out of the way, the woman pushed an officer, punched and kicked an officer in the head and kicked an officer in the shins before being taken into custody.
A 20-year-old Homebush woman has been charged with three counts of assaulting a police officer and one count of obstructing a police.
She is due to appear in the Mackay Magistrates Court on August 30.
