The bad Samaritan, Bowen
Whether or not you’re a religious person, you’ve probably heard the story about the Good Samaritan. In essence, it’s a story about an unlikely hero coming to the aid of a person on need, and teaches us that all people, regardless of race, are capable of good things.
Unfortunately, a Bowen man has found out the hard way that not all such stories have a happy ending. After his wallet fell unnoticed out of his back pocket in a pharmacy in a Bowen shopping centre on August 4, CCTV footage has shown a person retrieving the wallet from the floor.
Unfortunately this Samaritan was not of the good variety, and instead of returning the wallet to its elderly owner, has immediately left the store.
The good news is, the wallet was located a short time later at the newsagent with all cards and identification still inside. Good Samaritan!
The bad news is, the $180 dollars belonging to the elderly owner of the wallet, was gone. Bad Samaritan!
Police believe the female person pictured below can assist them with their inquiries into the missing money. She is a Caucasian female with fair skin and short, dark/grey hair. She also has a substantially sized tattoo – which cannot be seen in this picture – on her lower right leg.
