Appeal for assistance, assault, Fortitude Valley
Police are asking the public for help to identify a number of people who appear to have filmed a disturbance in Fortitude Valley yesterday.
Around 2.15am, a 19-year-old Mount Cotton man was stabbed and a 34-year-old Fitzgibbon man was punched to the face during a disturbance outside the Woolly Mammoth nightclub and continued towards the China Town Mall.
Both men were taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Following a review of closed-circuit television (CCTV) and after speaking to witnesses, police believe a number of people were standing nearby to the disturbance and filmed the events.
Anyone who may have filmed the incident – or anyone who knows someone who did, is asked to contact police, as detectives would like to review the footage.
Investigations are continuing.
