Public assistance, assault, Bundaberg West
Police are seeking public assistance after a girl was assaulted at a football game in Bundaberg today.
At 1.30pm, two girl’s rugby teams were playing a match at Salters Oval when an altercation occurred between two girls from opposing sides.
Official have intervened and halted play, but a girl has struck a 16-year-old girl in the head, who then fell unconscious to the ground.
She was transported to Bundaberg Hospital with head injuries.
Police are appealing to anyone that witnessed the assault or was filming the game to contact them.
Investigations are continuing.
