Fight the Zzzzz’s with Zarraffa’s during Queensland Road Safety Week

Townsville Police have once again joined in partnership with Zarraffa’s Coffee House to reward responsible drivers in the Townsville metro area who return a negative (zero) RBT result with the Fight the Zzzzzz’s with Zarraffa’s campaign.

This initiative is designed to direct community attention to the Fatal 5: Speed, Seat Belts, Drink/Drug driving, Inattention and Fatigue, with the main focus being on fatigue.

Each driver who records a zero RBT reading will be given a card that entitles the holder to one complimentary hot or cold beverage at either the Zarraffa’s Idalia or The Lakes store.

Zaraffa’s franchise owner Corey Blakemore said the Townsville community had been really support of Zaraffa’s Coffee and this initiative was an opportunity for his business to give back to the community.

There are 6000 complimentary beverage cards to be claimed during Queensland Road Safety Week from police within the Townsville Policing District, so keep your eyes out for the RBT sites. The initiative commenced Sunday August 20 and will run up until Sunday August 27.
