Queensland Road Safety Week Drink Rite event
This Friday, August 25 police will be hosting a Drink Rite event at the Townsville Taphouse, City Lane.
Participants will be monitored as they consume alcohol and their readings recorded. Participants will be required to undertake activities including field sobriety tests and coordination based activities in order to illustrate the effects of alcohol consumption.
Non-drinkers will have the opportunity use drunk and drug goggles to simulate the effects of these substances.
The education commences at 5pm. Approach officers on scene if you are keen to participate and learn how alcohol affects you.
