Update: Appeal for assistance, assault, Fortitude Valley
Police investigating a disturbance that occurred in Fortitude Valley on August 17 have charged a 19-year-old man.
Around 2.15am, emergency services were called to an alleyway on Ann Street, following reports a 19-year-old man had been injured during an altercation between a group of men.
He was taken to the Royal Brisbane Hospital for treatment to a non-life-threatening wound to his abdomen.
Another man received a non-life-threatening wound to his mouth and was also transported to hospital for treatment.
Investigating officers wish to thank the members of the public who came forward with information following an appeal for assistance.
A 19-year-old Geebung man has been charged with one count each of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, robbery, possessing dangerous drugs, and possess utensils.
He is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.
