Arrest, Atherton: A 29-year-old Atherton woman was arrested and charged with being a public nuisance, consuming alcohol in public and possession of a drug utensil after police were called to Robert Road address in Atherton at 10:30am yesterday.
It is alleged that the woman was yelling abuse at people and threw an object onto the road prior to police arrival. A subsequent search of the woman’s property allegedly located a used drug pipe.
The woman is scheduled to appear at the Atherton Magistrates Court on September 12.
Drugs, Mareeba: Two 31-year-old men from Normanton were charged with drug offences after a vehicle intercept at Byrnes Street, Mareeba at 9pm on Wednesday night.
Police intercepted the vehicle after observing that it was not bearing number plates. A subsequent search of the vehicle allegedly located an amount of Cannabis and 2 glass drug pipes.
The men are scheduled to appear at the Mareeba Magistrates Court on September 11.
Stolen Vehicle, Mareeba: A white 2016 Mitsubishi Lancer Qld registration 391WOO was stolen from a house in Abbott Street, Mareeba overnight.
It appears the offender has gained entry to the residence and stolen the keys to the vehicle. The residents were home at the time of the offence.
