Assault investigation, Bundamba
Police are seeking assistance from the public after a man was assaulted in Bundamba overnight.
Initial investigations suggest that at 6.50pm, a man was inside a residence on Bould Court in Bundamba when he answered a knock at the front door.
When the man answered the door and stepped outside, it is believed that up to five men armed with baseball bats and lengths of wood assauted the man.
The group then fled the scene and were last seen getting into a number of vehicles and were last seen driving towards Naomi Street.
Police believe there may have been up to 13 people involved in the offence.
The man was transported to the Ipswich General Hospital for treatment of bruising and lacerations to his head and body.
His injures are not believed to be life-threatening.
Poice are appealing to anyone that was in the area at the time or has any information which may assist to contact them.
Detectives are also asking if anyone was driving in the area at the time and may have dashcam footage to make contact.
Investigations are continuing.
