Attempted armed robbery, Gordon Park

Police are investigating following the attempted armed robbery of a general store on Stafford Road at Gordon Park.

Preliminary investigations indicate at around 6:20pm a man entered the store armed with a knife.

The man demanded money from a female staff member, who refused, before he fled the store on foot.

He was last seen running south on Rose Lane.

No money or goods were stolen and no one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 173cm tall and was last seen wearing a grey hoodie and dark pants.
