‘Wear it Purple’ Day in Far North Queensland

‘Wear it Purple’ Day in Far North Queensland

‘Wear it Purple’ Day in the Far North

The Queensland Police Service encourages our members to ‘Wear It Purple’ event and celebrate a day of diversity and inclusion throughout the state.

‘Wear it Purple’ provides a platform to raise community awareness and empower Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Intersex (LGBTI) young people to know they are not alone and have the right to be proud of who they are.

Officers and Adminstration Officers from the Far North Police District got in the spirt of ‘Wear it Purple’ Day and added a dash of purple to their uniforms by donning a purple ribbon or LGBTI Lanyard in support of today’s ‘Wear it Purple’ Day.

It’s all about celebrating diversity!
