Update 2: Appeal for witnesses, wounding, Surfers Paradise
Surfers Paradise detectives investigating an altercation at a Cavill Avenue licensed premises yesterday afternoon are appealing for witnesses to come forward, with detectives also wanting to view any footage that may have been taken at the time.
A large number of people witnesses the altercation with detective having spoken to a number of people, however if you did witness the incident and have not spoken to police please contact Policelink on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
It is also understood that a number of witnesses videoed the altercation on their smart phones with detectives appealing for them to come forward with the vision.

Gold Coast police have charged a man following the alleged stabbing of another man during a large disturbance in Surfers Paradise yesterday afternoon.
It will be alleged around 3.30pm an altercation broke out between a number of patrons at a licensed premises on Cavill Avenue.
It will be further alleged during the disturbance a 24-year-old man produced an implement and stabbed a 29-year-old man in the neck.
The man was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital with a significant but non-life-threatening stab wound.
A 24-year-old man Labrador man was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with grievous bodily harm, possessing dangerous drugs and possessing utensils or pipes.
He is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.
Investigations are continuing.
