Burglary with violence, Pimpimbudgee
Detectives from Kingaroy are investigating after an incident in Pimpimbudgee yesterday afternoon (August 27).
Preliminary investigations indicate at around 3:30pm two men, one armed with a firearm, entered a house on Trapp Road.
The men demanded money from two male occupants of the home, taking their wallets before firing a shot into a cupboard and assaulting the occupants.
The two occupants then fled the house and contacted emergency services.
A 65-year-old Yarraman man and a 47-year-old Pimpimbudgee man were transported to Kingaroy Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening head injuries.
A crime scene has been declared and forensic officers will return to the scene today.
