Cover all your bases, Airlie Beach

Old nursery rhymes tell us that when the Big Bad Wolf wants to get into your home – it’s the doors that are the focus of attention.  Not in 2017.  Nowadays when the doors are locked the wolf looks for next best alternatives.

Between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm on August 31 a burglar has climbed into a unit at Nara Avenue in Airlie Beach through an unsecured window after all of the doors were discovered to be locked and secured.

A large amount of Australian and Chinese currency and a credit card was stolen from inside the unit after it was searched.

If anyone has information about this particular matter that they wish to share with police, you can call the Whitsunday Police Station on 07 49 488 888 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 any time of the day.  The police report number to refer to is QP1701536466.

Keep your doors and your windows secured – if all your bases are covered the wolf will go elsewhere.

If you have information for police, contact Policelink on 131 444 or provide information using the online form 24hrs per day.

You can report information about crime anonymously to Crime Stoppers, a registered charity and community volunteer organisation, by calling 1800 333 000 or via crimestoppersqld.com.au 24hrs per day.
