Drink driving, Mareeba: Police have charged a local man after a traffic incident in Mareeba on Thursday afternoon.
It will be alleged Police intercepted the 40-year-old man on the Kennedy Highway Mareeba at about 3.15pm and when required to provide a roadside breath test, he returned a reading of 0.123 per cent BAC.
The driver is scheduled to appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court on October 9, charged with one count of drink driving.
Assault Police, Mareeba: Police have charged a Mount Carbine woman after an incident in Mareeba on Friday morning.
It will be alleged the 57-year-old woman has approached a Police Officer who was in the process of arresting another person and grabbed them on the arm attempting to interfere with the arrest. T
he woman was warned on a number of occasions to step back and stop interfering but she continued and was arrested.
The woman is scheduled to appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court on September 25, charged with one count of assault/obstruct police.
