Disturbance, Woodridge
Police are investigating a disturbance at Woodridge this morning.
Around 11.45am officers responded to reports of a man creating a disturbance and threatening paramedics at a residence on Station Road.
Initial inquiries indicate the man confronted police with knives when an officer discharged his firearm.
The 72-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his right shoulder and was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
Ethical Standards Command is investigating the incident with overview by the Crime and Corruption Commission.
