Drink driving, Mareeba: Police have charged a local man after a traffic intercept in Mareeba on Saturday morning.
It will be alleged Police intercepted the 55-year-old man on Byrnes Street at about 7:50am and when required to provide a roadside breath test, he returned a reading of 0.100 per cent BAC.
The driver is scheduled to appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court on September 25, charged with one count of drink driving.
Obstruct police, Mount Garnet: Police have charged a local man after an incident in Mount Garnet on Saturday morning.
It will be alleged that Police were called to an address on Nymbool Road at about 11am for another matter and when arresting the 32-year-old man he has started struggling and pulling away from Police, obstructing them in the execution of their duties.
The man is scheduled to appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court later today, charged with one count of obstructing police as well as a number of domestic violence related issues.
Traffic crash, Dimbulah: A 34-year-old Smithfield man was lucky to escape without injury when he was involved in a traffic crash on Saturday afternoon.
Initial investigations suggest the vehicle he was driving has failed to negotiate a bend on Mareeba-Dimbulah Road and rolled the vehicle.
It will be alleged that when Police arrived at the scene at about 3:05pm and required him to provide a roadside breath test, he returned a reading of 0.126 per cent BAC.
The driver is scheduled to appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court on September 18, charged with one count of drink driving.
