First student of Braking the Cycle Southern passes licence test
The Braking the Cycle project in the Southern Gold Coast is off to a cracking start with the first ever student passing his licence test.
He is graduating from Learners to P Plates with the help of the BTC program.
Due to some unexpected circumstances the vehicle arranged for the test was unavailable. With a quick few phone calls and the help of Carl Telani, program coordinator for Nerang PCYC and volunteer Bill everything came together.
It was a great result for Mitch and the program as that’s what its all about helping young people get mobile and independent.
This was one of those special circumstances where we were able to help and Mitch and his family were very appreciative of the assistance.
A big thanks to Nerang PCYC, Braking the Cycle, Carl Telani and our volunteer Bill for making it happen.
Mitch has been working hard and saved his money so the hunt is on for a car. In the meantime, he might have to borrow Mum’s taxi.
