Police vehicle rammed at Bentley Park: A 29-year-old man is being sought following the attempted intercept of his vehicle yesterday morning.

Plain clothes officers observed the man driving south on the Bruce Highway near Bentley Park at around 10am and recognised him as a person of interest in a number of property, drug and other matters.

As traffic slowed to a stop at the Bruce Highway and Robert Road intersection, the officers parked in front of the man’s utility and then got out of the police vehicle to arrest him.

The man then continued to drive south before attempting to turn right off the Bruce Highway into Petersen Road at Edmonton where he collided with another oncoming vehicle.

The man then drove a short distance along Petersen Road before abandoning his vehicle and fleeing on foot. The driver of the other vehicle did not sustain any apparent injuries as a result of that collision.

Police conducted extensive patrols of the area however the man has not been located.

He is described as being a Caucasian male aged 29, with blue eyes and ginger hair. He is around 175cm tall and of proportionate build.
