Changed traffic conditions Kuranda for the Cardiac Challenge

The Far North Queensland Hospital Foundation Cardiac Challenge kicks off tomorrow morning on Saturday September 16.

The foundation have obtained a one-lane road closure of the Kennedy Highway (Kuranda Range).

To enable cyclists in the Mount Franklin Cardiac Challenge to safely traverse the range, the uphill lane of the Kuranda Range from Canopy’s Edge at Smithfield to the Rain Forest Station in Kuranda will be closed from 6am to 8.45am.

All cyclists will be off the Range by 8am. Any cyclist who has not been able to reach the top of the Range by 8am will be uploaded into a vehicle.

All emergency vehicles will be able to traverse the Range in either direction if required during the closure.
