Unlicensed driving, Mt Molloy: Police have charged a Mareeba woman after a traffic incident in Mt Molloy on Thursday afternoon.

It will be alleged police intercepted the 20-year-old woman on the Mulligan Highway Mt Molloy at about 12.30pm and checks revealed she was unlicensed. This was the woman’s third offence and her registration plates were seized for 90 days.

The driver is scheduled to appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court on October 9, charged with one count of unlicensed driving.

Drink driving, Koah: Police have charged a Koah man after a traffic incident in Koah on Thursday afternoon.

It will be alleged police intercepted the 30-year-old man on the Kennedy Highway Koah at about 4.30pm and when required to provide a roadside breath test, he returned an alleged reading of 0.075 per cent.

The driver is scheduled to appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court on October 3, charged with one count each of drink driving and unlicensed driving.

Hooning, Mareeba: Police have charged a local man after a traffic incident in Mareeba on Thursday evening.

It will be alleged police intercepted the 22-year-old man on Byrnes Street at about 6.55pm after he did a burnout causing the vehicle to lose traction.

The driver is scheduled to appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court on October 23, charged with one count each of willfully make unnecessary noise or smoke and vehicle equipment not compliant with standards.

High-end speeding, Mareeba: Police have charged a 21-year-old woman following a traffic interception on Thursday evening on the Kennedy Highway at Mareeba.

It will be alleged the Smithfield woman was detected travelling at 148km in a 100km zone at about 7.50pm.

The woman was issued with a Traffic Infringement Notice for $1177.
