Assault occasioning grievous bodily harm, Beenleigh
A man has been charged with assault following an incident in Beenleigh last night.
A number of people were drinking at a unit complex on Manila Street when an altercation allegedly broke out between two men.
As a result, a 59-year-old Beenleigh man suffered a suspected broken jaw, facial fractures and dislodged teeth.
Police attended and provided first aid to the man before he was transported to the Logan Hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries.
A 30-year-old Loganholme man has been charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and obstruct police.
He is due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on September 18.
