Graffiti, Mareeba: Police are investigating after a number of buildings were damaged over the weekend in Mareeba.

Initial investigations suggest that a number of unknown people have attended council buildings on Walsh Street Mareeba sometime between 3pm on Friday afternoon and 1pm on Monday afternoon and caused damage. The toilet block in Arnold Park had graffiti on the walls as well as a number of images and words on the walls of the Theatre Club building.

Unlicensed driving, Mareeba: Police have charged a Mareeba woman after a traffic incident in Mareeba on Monday afternoon.

It will be alleged police intercepted the 23-year-old woman on Railway Avenue Mareeba at about 5.30pm and checks revealed she was unlicensed.

The driver is scheduled to appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court on October 9, charged with one count each of unlicensed driving and failing to display P plates.
