Unlicensed driving, Mareeba: Police have charged a Mareeba woman after a traffic incident in Mareeba on Tuesday afternoon.
It will be alleged police intercepted the 32-year-old woman on MacRae Street Mareeba at about 1.25pm and checks revealed she was unlicensed.
The driver is scheduled to appear in the Mareeba Magistrates Court on October 9, charged with one count each of unlicensed driving.
Man charged, Mareeba: A 28-year-old Mareeba man was charged early this morning after he allegedly failed to comply with a Noise Abatement Direction.
Police had earlier received complaints about excessive noise being emitted from the Earl Street residence and issued a Noise Abatement Direction at 11.30pm.
Police had cause to return to the residence a second time at around midnight due to further complaints about excessive noise. The man was charged with contravening a direction and is scheduled to appear at the Mareeba Magistrates Court on October 9.
