Assault, Cloncurry
Detectives are investigating after a man was assaulted at Cloncurry last night.
Initial inquires indicate around 8.15pm a 51-year-old man was at his residence in Railway St when an altercation has occurred with a woman.
During the altercation the man has received head injuries and was transported to the Mt Isa Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
A 31-year-old Larapinta (Northern Territory) woman, who is known to the man, is currently assisting police with inquiries.
