Police have charged a man following investigations into an armed robbery that occurred at a fast food outlet in Clontarf on September 25.

It will be alleged that around 10.45pm, a man armed with a concealed knife entered the Oasis Court business and threatened staff members as well as making demands for cash.

The store manager obliged and handed over a sum of cash from one of the registers. After realising a second register was empty, the man fled the store.

A 36-year-old Margate man has been charged with two counts of robbery and one count enter premises with intent.

He is due to appear in the Redcliffe Magistrates Court tomorrow, September 28.
