Traffic charges, Innisfail: A 34-year-old Mighell man was charged with a number of traffic offences on Thursday evening.

Police intercepted the vehicle on River Avenue around 7pm.

It will be alleged as a result of the intercept the man was charged with one count of driving a motor vehicle without a driver licence disqualified by court order, vehicle on road must be registered, safe but otherwise defective vehicle, and drink driving after the man allegedly returned a reading of 0.234 BAC.

He is scheduled to appear at the Innisfail Magistrates Court on October 16.

Graffiti and wilful damage, East Innisfail: Police are investigating damage that was done to a number of buildings and cars between 9pm September 27 and 6am September 28 in East Innisfail.

Yellow and white spray paint was stolen from a Hickey Street address and has been used to graffiti the garage wall and floor at the address.

Graffiti was also on a vehicle at another Hickey Street address.

Graffiti was sprayed on various spots on the road on Carmel Street, a church on Carmel Street had a window smashed and graffiti was scrawled on a building and window of a Mourilyan Road school.

Police are urging any witnesses to the incident or anyone with information to contact the Police Station on 4061 5777 or Policelink 131 444 and quote reference number QP1701698865.

Weapons and drug charges, Tully: Officers from Tully executed a search warrant at a Daveson Road, Daveson, at around 5pm Thursday.

As a result of the search officers will allege they located a shotgun, ammunition, a quantity of cannabis and a glass pipe.

A 46-year-old Daveson man was charged with one count each of possession of weapons, authority required to possess explosives, possess a dangerous drugs and possess drug utensil.

He is scheduled to appear at the Tully Magistrates Court on October 26.

Stealing offence, Innisfail: A 21-year-old international male tourist was charged with shop stealing on September 27.

It is alleged the man has entered the Edith Street store around 10am on Tuesday morning and stole a number of items before leaving the store without paying.

The man was located around 5:30pm Wednesday afternoon and was issued with a notice to appear at the Innisfail Magistrates Court on October 3.
