Update – Grievous bodily harm, Cloncurry
A 51-year-old man allegedly assaulted at Cloncurry on Tuesday night has died in hospital.
It will be alleged the 51-year-old man was at his residence in Railway Street around 8.15pm when an argument broke out with a woman. A physical altercation occurred and the woman allegedly punched the man in the head causing him to fall and hit his head on the cement driveway
The man was transported to the Mount Isa Hospital, but passed away yesterday afternoon.
A 32-year-old Larapinta (Northern Territory) woman, known to the man, has been charged with grievous bodily harm.
She appeared before the Mount Isa Magistrates Court yesterday and has been remanded in custody.
Investigations are continuing.
