Suspicious fire, Cranbrook

Police are investigating a fire that occurred in Cranbrook this afternoon.

Around 1.20pm, police and emergency services were called to a Louise Street address after a large amount of smoke was seen coming from the two-storey residence.

Upon arrival, fire crews were able to extinguish the flames quickly, with the property sustaining only minor damage.

A sum of money has also been stolen from inside the residence.

Anyone who may have seen any suspicious behaviour around the time of the fires is asked to contact police.
