Fatal traffic crash, Plainland

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a fatal traffic crash in Plainland this afternoon.

Preliminary investigations indicate at around 3:40pm a car was travelling eastbound on the Warrego Highway when it left the road, colliding with a guard rail.

The driver, a 33-year-old Calamvale woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 4-year-old boy who was a passenger in the vehicle was not physically injured during the crash.

Investigators are appealing for anyone with information to contact police, in particular the drivers of two heavy vehicles who stopped to assist shortly after the crash, who are urged to contact Policelink on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
