Missing 79-year-old woman – Craiglie (update): Emergency services continue to search for missing person, Anne Cameron who went missing from a Martin Scullet Drive, Craiglie address at about 4:30pm on Tuesday.
The search continued overnight and recommenced at 6am this morning.
There are currently six SES crews, emergency services, police and family members involved in the search this morning.
A helicopter and SES flood boats have been deployed to search the Mowbray River, surrounding waterways and coastline.
Anne was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with floral band, navy shorts, beige-coloured waterproof hiking shoes and could also be in possession of a walking stick.
Members of the public in the Craiglie/Port Douglas areas are being encouraged to check their properties and storage areas.
Anne only recently moved to the address and could be unfamiliar with her surroundings.
She has a medical condition that requires her to take daily medication, which she has been without for the past 48 hours.
Police hold grave concerns for her wellbeing due to her medical condition, her age, the length of time that she’s been missing and the increasing temperatures.
