Property offences, Cairns and Northern Beaches: Police have charged a 15-year-old Mooroobool boy with property and vehicle offences that were allegedly committed through the months of August, September and October, throughout several Cairns suburbs.
The boy has been charged with a total of 30 charges which include ten counts of burglary and commit indictable offence, seven counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, five counts of stealing, three counts of enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, two counts each of attempted unlawful use of a motor vehicle and driving of a motor vehicle without a driver licence and one count of enter premises and commit indictable offence by break.
Another 15-year-old boy was charged overnight as a co-offender to several of the vehicle related offences.
Traffic crash with injury (Bicycle), Redlynch: Emergency services were called to Redlynch Intake Road, Redlynch at about 1:45pm yesterday after reports of a traffic incident involving a vehicle and bicycle rider.
The 50-year-old female bicycle rider from Redlynch was later transported to Cairns Base Hospital with an ankle injury.
The involved vehicle stopped at the incident location for a short time before leaving the scene.
Police are appealing to members of the public who may have been in the area at the time that may be able to assist in their investigations. The incident occurred near the intersection of Village Terrace.
