Update: Armed robbery, Mundingburra

Detectives have charged two men following the armed robbery of a pharmacy in Mundingburra yesterday afternoon.

It will be alleged around 5pm a man entered the business on Ross River Road and produced a knife before demanding medication from a male staff member.

The staff member compiled with the man’s demands before the man fled the business into a waiting car on Ross River Road.

The male staff member was not physically injured during the robbery.

A 41-year-old Condon man and a 33-year-old Pimlico man have both been charged with armed robbery and enter premises with intent.

They are expected to appear at the Townsville Magistrates Court tomorrow, October 12.
