Detectives from  Ayr CIB have arrested a 32 year old man after he was allegedly found in possession of a quantity of dangerous drugs yesterday afternoon.

It will be alleged at about 12.00pm  detectives from the Ayr Criminal Investigation Bureau intercepted a silver Holden Commodore sedan on Queen Street in Ayr in relation to other matters.

Police conducted a search of the vehicle and located a quantity of dangerous drugs, utensils and cash.

It will be alleged approximately 11 grams of Ice, 196 MDMA tablets, scales, drug utensils and $1600 cash was located during the search.

A 32-year-old man from Home Hill was arrested and charged with two counts each of supplying dangerous drugs and possession of dangerous drugs and one count each of possession of a utensil/pipe for use with a dangerous drug, possession of property suspected of being used in the commission of a dangerous drug and possession of property suspected of being the proceeds of dangerous drugs.

He is scheduled to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court today.
