Big congratulations to our very own Sergeant Nigel Dalton – winner of the State Neighbourhood Watch Police Liaison Officer of the year.
Read that again – State Neighbourhood Watch Police Liaison Officer of the year! The best in the state mate 
Sergeant Dalton received his award along with Janelle Schembri (member of Mackay Northern Beaches Neighbourhood Watch group, civilian Mackay district award winner) and also present for the awards was Ranger Stacey and Ken Rehbein (long serving Northern Beaches Neighbourhood Watch member).
The on-going relationship and crime prevention efforts between local mackay district police and neighbourhood watch groups is the envy of many across the state. Tilt of the hat to both Sergeant Dalton and Janelle for the recognition they received for their efforts.
