Attempted armed robbery, Annandale
Detectives are investigating following the attempted armed robbery of a man in Annandale in the early hours of this morning.
Just after 1am a 38-year-old man has heard a noise outside his residence on Cypress Drive and has gone to investigate.
He has opened his garage door to investigate when he has observed two males in the front of his yard. At this time he has been confronted by another male who has approached him and made demands for his car keys.
The resident has refused and the man has lunged at the resident with a knife. The resident has moved back and the knife has made contact with him tearing a hole in his shirt but did not pierce his skin. The resident’s dog has run towards the males and they all fled the scene on foot.
All three males are described as approximately 16 years-old, with slim builds and approximately 160cm tall. Two were aboriginal in appearance with the third described as Caucasian.
