Armed robbery, Varsity Lakes

A man armed with a knife stole cash and cigarettes from a Varsity Lakes business this evening (October 17).

Around 9.10pm the man entered a Burmuda Street service station where he threatened a 24-year-old male employee before fleeing on foot with the stolen property. He was last seen crossing Bermuda Street and heading towards Cassowary Drive.

He is described as having a dark complexion and possible of Indian descent, and possibly aged in his mid-20s to 30. He was wearing a hooded jumper and a hi-vis shirt and mask over his face.

No one was physically injured and police investigations are continuing.
