UPDATE: Single vehicle traffic crash, Koongal
The driver of a vehicle involved in a single vehicle traffic crash in Rockhampton on the morning of September 23 has passed away.
At about 2am, the vehicle was travelling east on Lakes Creek Road when it crossed the road and crashed into a tree at Koongal.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 20-year-old local man, was transported to Rockhampton Hospital and later airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition however has since passed away.
Police are encouraging anyone who has any information about the crash or who has dash-cam footage, to contact Policelink on 131 444.
Investigations are continuing.
