Learner Driver Charged, Gulliver
A 19-year-old man has been charged with drink driving following a vehicle intercept on Leeds Street, Gulliver overnight.
Police will allege the driver of the vehicle recorded a positive roadside breath test and was transported to the Mundingburra police station for further testing, where he recorded a blood alcohol concentration of 0.106%.
It will also be alleged the male driver was on a learner’s licence and was driving the vehicle unsupervised without displaying L plates.
A 19-year-old Manoora man has been charged with drink driving, driving unaccompanied and failing to display L plates. He is expected to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court on November 10.
