Car stolen from Sarina found burnt out in Eton
A victim of car theft in Sarina has received the worst possible news after the event.
Between 4:00 pm on October 19 and 8:45 am on October 20 a grey 2009 model Holden Commodore sedan was stolen from underneath a high set home on Frank Miles Road in Sarina. It’s not known whether or not the car was locked at the time.
Eton police have confirmed this morning that the stolen car has been found burnt out on Hannans Road near the corner of Marian Eton Road in North Eton. This is not the outcome that either the police or the victim were hoping for.
We are encouraging any member of the public who may have information regarding this matter to call either the Sarina police station on 0749 648 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 any time of the day. The police reference number is QP1701835849.
Locked and secured cars mean time and effort for the crooks if they want to steal it – or they bypass this security by simply stealing the car keys and using them to gain entry. Protect yourself and look out for your neighbours – report any suspicious behaviour to your local police.
If you have information for police, contact Policelink on 131 444 or provide information using the online form 24hrs per day.
You can report information about crime anonymously to Crime Stoppers, a registered charity and community volunteer organisation, by calling 1800 333 000 or via crimestoppersqld.com.au 24hrs per day.
