Update 8: Marine search and rescue, Middle Island
Police divers have finished clearing the wreckage of the commercial fishing vessel Dianne.
Despite a painstaking and thorough search which has involved the clearing of a large amount of debris, no further bodies were located inside.
Work continues to formally identify the two men located inside the boat yesterday.
The families of the six crew have been advised of today’s developments.
At first light tomorrow, two police vessels will conduct a further sonar search in the area.
A fixed-wing aircraft will also conduct sweeps of the coast and there will also be further land-based foot and vehicle patrols along the beach
Police are working hard to ensure the families of Adam Bidner, Zachary Feeney, Adam Hoffman, Ben Leahy, Chris Sammut and Eli Tonks can get some measure of closure.
