Serious traffic crash, Browns Plains

Police are seeking public assistance following a serious traffic crash that occurred this morning in Browns Plains.

Initial investigations suggest that at 5.15am, a car that was travelling on Waller Road was struck behind by another vehicle and then crashed into a power pole.

The driver of the other vehicle then fled the scene.

The male driver of the car and a female passenger were both transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital and another man who was in the front passenger seat fled the scene.

The woman is being treated for serious internal injuries and the man for eye injuries.

Police are seeking public assistance to locate a white sedan that has damage to the front drivers side and headlight.

Officers are also seeking the man that was the passenger in the car that was struck to come forward.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
