Update: Police vehicle rammed, Mount Gravatt East
Two men have been charged following an incident in Mount Gravatt East yesterday morning where a stolen vehicle was allegedly driven into a police car.
It will be alleged around 10am officers attempted to intercept a white Holden Colorado utility in the drive-thru of a Pine Mountain Road fast food restaurant.
The ute was allegedly stolen from a Caloundra car yard along with a number of other vehicles on October 14.
The ute was then allegedly driven at the police car, hitting it before speeding away and colliding with another vehicle and bin in the carpark.
Police later attended a property on Kessels Road at Sailsbury where the same stolen ute was allegedly used in an attempt to flee the scene and driven into another police vehicle.
The male driver and passenger were arrested and taken into custody in relation to the incident as well as a series of other alleged offences over the last month involving the theft and unlawful use of motor vehicles.
A 30-year-old man has been charged with 35 offences including fifteen counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, seven counts of attempted unlawful use of a motor vehicle, six counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence, four counts of stealing, two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and one count of receiving tainted property.
A 30-year-old man was charged with four counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count of enter with intent.
Both men are due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today (October 25).
