Robbery with violence charge, Browns Plains
Detectives have charged a man and a woman following an alleged robbery of a sports store at Browns Plains yesterday afternoon (October 25).
It will be alleged at about 3.05pm, the man and the woman placed a quantity of the store’s property in a bag.
When confronted by a male staff member, it is alleged the woman made threats against the staff member and punched him in the face when he attempted to retrieve the property.
It is further alleged the man and the woman fled the scene in a vehicle with a quantity of the property.
At about 8.15pm, police executed a warrant at a Boronia Heights address where it is alleged police located and arrested the man and the woman and located a quantity of property.
No persons were injured during the incident.
The 18-year-old Boronia Heights man is charged with one count of stealing and will appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on November 22.
The 18-year-old woman is charged with one count of robbery with violence and will remain in custody appearing in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on October 26. The woman is also charged with an additional twenty-one charges that relate to other matters.
