Project Unite to descend on Celebrate Gold Coast this weekend

This Saturday on October 28, the Gold Coast Unite team will be deployed to the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre in conjunction with Celebrate Gold Coast.

They will be there from 11am until 5pm in the Southern Plaza area of the newly opened sports centre.

Project Unite is the Queensland Police Service and its partner’s response for detecting, deterring and disrupting criminal and terrorist activity.

The project encourages members of the public and business to take ownership of their community’s safety by working with them in reporting unusual activity or things that seem out of place.

This weekend Gold Coasters and Queenslanders alike can come on down to the Gold Coast sports and Leisure Centre to view a range of interactive sports, an array of health and fitness activities, local wellbeing companies and product displays.

While you’re there, we encourage you to come on down and meet the Project Unite team.

Over the coming months we will be popping up in any location, any time. It’s our intention to be as unpredictable so don’t be surprised if you see us around at local events.

Project Unite will be able to provide you with security awareness information and let you know how you can work with them to deter, detect and disrupt unlawful activity.

Your support for Project Unite is essential for its success. By working together, we can all be safe.

Celebrate Gold Coast is at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre on 296 Nerang Broadbeach Road, Carrara. This event is between 11am until 5pm.
