A rags to riches story – Theft, Sarina
There are plenty of places where I have seen people hide their hard earned cash.
- fog pockets
- in shoes
- in socks
- in jocks
- bum bags
- pockets in caps
- hold it in a clenched fist
- wrapped in a hair net
- other examples exist which are not suitable for print.
If I was asked to nominate places never to store a substantial amount of money, right up in the top three nominations would be in an unattended car.
Between 12:00 pm on October 27 and 5:00 am on October 28 a thief has entered an unlocked car which was parked in the back yard of an address in Kathleen Street in Sarina. A search that was carried out found hundreds of dollars left in the vehicle ash-tray!

At least 24 steal from vehicle reports were received by police across our district between October 23 and October 29. We dislike seeing our thieves rewarded in any way for their efforts – victims tend to be unhappy with this also. Please keep your cash and valuables out of unattended cars completely. For good measure – keep your car doors locked and windows up.
