Appeal for assistance to identify unknown man, Main Beach
Police are seeking public assistance to help identify a man who was located deceased at Main Beach yesterday.
Officers were called to Main Beach yesterday at 8.20pm after a man was found unconscious at the beach.
He was declared deceased a short time later and his death is not being considered as suspicious.
Police have conducted extensive investigations overnight and today but they have been unable to identify the man at this stage.
He is described as being Caucasian in appearance, believed to be around 60-70 years old and had a slim build.
He was found wearing blue shorts, Dunlop Volley running shoes and was wearing a DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) bracelet and a watch with a brown leather strap.
Anyone who may have information which may assist police are being urged to contact them.
